Some of our animals cannot be out during the cool Pittsburgh fall weather, so we offer discounted admission during those months. There’s still plenty to see, though! Our toasty indoor Tropical Forest, PPG Aquarium, Worlds of Discovery, and Water’s Edge buildings, plus several partially indoor exhibits, such as our elephant barn, several exhibits in The Islands, and flamingo exhibit ensure you’ll still catch plenty of wild animals during your visit. ?Don’t forget some animals, such as the Amur tiger and red panda, prefer the cooler temperatures, so a trip to the Zoo in the winter offers an exciting contrasting experience to the more traditional summer visit.
